Join Eataly chef and restaurateur Simone Falco on an incredible foodie trip through Naples and Sorrento. Simone will lead you through where he grew up and take you to the absolute best places to eat all while you take in the sights and sounds of Naples, Pompeii, and Sorrento. A day on a private boat, a half-day exploring Pompeii, visiting a local destination known for its cheese, and following Simone down a culinary adventure of his childhood favorites highlight an itinerary filled with local food hot-spots.

Meet Your Host

SIMONE FALCO

Simone Falco was born in Naples on October 27th 1974, where he grew up in a family of sportsmen. He soon followed the steps of his uncle Franco Manna, founder and president of Rossopomodoro, to become a rugby player. In addition to his career in Rugby, he also obtained a PhD from the University of Naples Federico II, one of the oldest Universities in Europe. Since he was very young, Simone has worked in the family company over the years to learn the proper skills needed to run a successful restaurant business, leading into the launch and development of several new restaurant locations in Italy and abroad. Simone’s personal passions include interests in health and wellness, his love for horseback riding and fitness. These passions inspired him to own a restaurant where he could eat several times a week and still feel as if he was eating at home. His restaurants appear in Eataly’s across the world.

Day One

THURSDAY OCTOBER 1ST

Arrive into Naples and meet your driver who will take you to The Grand Hotel Vesuvio to check in.

Meet your guide in the lobby for your first day tour of Naples and Chiaia. Located in southern Italy, the city offers an incredible mix of different artistic and cultural style and heritage.

During this tour, you will visit the iconic monuments, squares and attractions of the city. You’ll begin at the with Piazza del Plebiscito, where you can find the Royal Palace and the great San Carlo theatre, the oldest Opera House in Europe, and continue to the Duomo, the 13th -century Gothic Cathedral dedicated to Naples’s Patron Saint, San Gennaro.

Enjoy then a scenic stroll through Via Toledo and discover its charming shops and cafes where you can try the best Espresso and Pizza in the world.

Day Two

FRIDAY OCTOBER 2ND

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

After, meet your guide in the lobby for a tour around the Spaccanapoli area in Naples with two historian guides, learning all there is to know about the region.

You’ll enjoy lunch at Sorbillo Pizzeria and also stop at Pinaturo Sfiogliatelle for a nice afternoon snack before heading back to the hotel.

Day Three

SATURDAY OCTOBER 3RD

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

After, meet your guide in the lobby for your drive to Sorrento. On the way, you’ll stop in Pompeii for a visit to Pastificio Afeltra and Agerola to sample some incredible cheeses.

Inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites List in 1997, this archeological area is a well-preserved glimpse into ancient Roman life. Walk the streets together with your guide and travel back 2,000 years. Marvel the millennia-old houses, temples, shops, cafes, the amphitheatre and the thermal baths and learn more about traditions that characterized of ancient Roman life.

After, enjoy lunch and continue on to your hotel in Sorrento, The Grand Hotel Vittoria.

Day Four

SUNDAY OCTOBER 4TH

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

After you’ll enjoy a brief familiarization tour of Sorrento before Simone will take you to some of his favorite establishments in the city. Today is totally at the groups desire and leisure.

For dinner, you’ll enjoy a meal at Torre del Saracino.

Day Five

MONDAY OCTOBER 5TH

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

After, meet your guide in the lobby for a private boat trip to Capri & the Amalfi Coast.

The Island of Capri is one of the most picturesque and visited locations in Campania. Its unique beauty was celebrated in ancient times and captured in the work of Homer: Odysseus (known in Latin as Ulysses) sailing past the island narrowly escaped the fate of those who hear the voices of the Sirens.

Capri’s breathtaking landscapes and beauty stretch from the rocky caves to the edge of the horizon. The island has been an inspiration to poets, lovers and travelers throughout the centuries.

Day Six

TUESDAY OCTOBER 6TH

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

Depending on your international flight departure time, you will be met in the hotel lobby and driven to the airport in Naples.
